The Class
Cotillion offers ballroom and contemporary dance instruction, as well as instruction on manners and etiquette for children, and makes social dancing accessible and exciting for students in grades 4-7. Cotillion meets a total of six times between September and March and during each class, our dance instructor, Miss Penelope, will teach students the fundamentals of dance. Classes focus on traditional favorites such as the swing, waltz, foxtrot, pretzel, salsa, chacha and shag. Each class also incorporates basic social etiquette.

The Ball
The Ball is our final class of the year and is a formal dance where parents are invited to join and have the opportunity to dance with their child. Belle Haven hosts a special buffet dinner that is available after the dance if you choose to stay and celebrate the season. Grandparents and siblings are welcome. More details on The Ball will be sent via email in February.
Dress Code
Girls: White gloves are required. Party dress or party skirt, blouse or sweater and party shoes required. NOT ALLOWED: sandals, flip flops, athletic, or backless shoes.
Boys: Jackets or blazers, dress shirt and tie are required. Khaki or gray slacks, dark socks, dress shoes or loafers are required. NOT ALLOWED: Athletic Shoes.
